These black bean veggie burgers are made from scratch and have the most insane flavor. They are also super easy to make! I baked them instead of frying them to alleviate using excess oil and they are made with all wholesome ingredients.
214 oz2 (14 oz) cans of black beans drained, rinsed, and patted dry
1tbspavocado oil
½cupred bell pepperdiced
½cupwhite oniondiced
3garlic clovesminced
1½tspground cumin
½tspgarlic powder
1tsponion powder
¼tsppaprika
¾cuppanko bread crumbs
2largeeggs
1tbspWorcestershire sauce
2tbspketchup
kosher saltto taste
ground black pepperto taste
whole wheat buns
½cupany shredded cheese of your choice optional
Instructions
Step 1 - Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2 - Use a potato masher or a fork and mash beans until they are mashed with some whole bean pieces left.
Step 3 - Add oil, red bell pepper, white onion, garlic, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, ground black pepper, salt, paprika, bread crumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Stir until well combined.
Step 4 - Using clean hands, form patties and line them on your prepared baking tray.
Step 5 - Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and assemble. To assemble the juicy burgers, slice whole wheat buns in half and add your burgers. Top with your favorite toppings and devour.
