Fruit Crisp

Fruit crisp is a healthy refreshing dessert that will leave you feeling satisfied. This dessert is made using any fruit you have on hand!

  • large mixing bowl
  • 9 x 13 inch baking dish

Ingredients

  • 8 cups fresh chopped apples and pears or any fruit you have on hand
  • 1 cup dried craisins or any dried fruit you have on hand
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts pecans, walnuts, almonds
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup avocado oil can use olive oil
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 °.
  • Combine fruit and dried fruit with cornstarch and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl. Toss to combine then spread in 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  • Next, combine oats, nuts, flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, oil, and maple syrup in a medium bowl. Mix everything to combine really well! Sprinkle evenly over fruit.
  • Bake for 30 to 40 min. Let cool 10 minutes before serving. Eat as is or over some coconut milk yogurt!
