Let me just tell you how amazing these Chocolate Chickpea Brownies are! They are everything they sound like and more ;) They are gooey, chocolatey, and rich! Made with no flour, they are the perfect healthy dessert!
Preheat oven to 350°. In a blender add chickpeas, bananas, oats, salt, egg, and vanilla extract and blend until it forms a smooth consistency.
In a small pot on low heat add chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and nut milk. Cook until powder is blended in and chocolate chips are melted. Whisk slowly, often, to make sure the chocolate doesn't burn.
Remove from heat and pour in the chickpea mixture and stir until well combined. If using walnuts add them in now and mix well.
Spray a 9 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray and add the brownies batter.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar (if using).
Let cool completely and then cut into squares before serving!

If you store them in the fridge they will last longer than kept at room temperature.Top Tip!Make sure to continuously whisk the chocolate when it is melting in the saucepan to prevent burning. Chocolate burns easily and then it cannot be used. If you burn it you should remelt another 2 cups. Can you freeze chickpea brownies?Yes, you can!
